IN THE GLASS: The 2018 “The New Black” is a bit of a paradox for a black wine. On one hand, it has intense richness and concentration. On the other hand, its tannins are incredibly smooth, clean and easy to drink.

TECHNICAL NOTES:
ABOUT THIS WINE: The 2018 vintage of “The New Black” is an estate dry red wine made from Noiret™ grapes grown on our family farm in Hinckley, Ohio. All the grapes in this wine are hand-pruned and hand-picked, which contributes to the exceptional quality of this wine. ‘Noiret’™ was developed at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station, Cornell University. We have matched our growing techniques and wine processing methods together to make a wine that is so rich in color, it is considered a “black” wine. Even though the wine is full-bodied, unlike other black wines, this wine has a fine, velvety tannin structure, a jammy, fruit forward flavor profile, and moderate alcohol of 12%.Type your paragraph here.
